Which of the Service Academies is the most beautiful looking? Be honest.

Depends on what kind of beautiful you’re looking at. Scenery wise, West Point gets it, hands down. If you’re talking architecture, depends on what you like. Personally, I think West Point is the most beautiful–I like the big castle-look. At least, I did before I got here.

Merchant Marine

Heeeellll Yeaaaaaahhh

Can I just say that AF, WP, and Navy all have beautiful chapels? (sorry, haven’t been to CG or MM) And each in such a different way…WP with all the wood and the organ, Navy with the beautiful stone, and AF with the sheer oddity of theirs.

I’m going to USNA (Marines!), but I’m in love with USMA.

I’ve only been to USMA and found amazing architecture in a gorgeous setting. From the pictures I’ve seen of the other academies and the stories I hear, they are all beautiful.

All of the Academies are beautiful - really depends what you like. Air Force has the Rockie Mountains for scenery and new building, including their chapel which is always pictured in the brochures and articles. Navy is right on the water - and the town of Annapolis is scenic (but a huge tourist trap/traffic jam on weekends and during the summer. West Point is gorgeous, at the bend of the Hudson, with the “mountains” surrounding it. Highland Falls is a pit, however, and is certainly not a tourist trap. West Point, if you include all of its property in the area, is immense compared to the other posts.

Bottom-line is this - whenever I bring my son back to West Point and point out to him how beautiful the area is and the post - he just rolls his eyes and says he’s looking forward to seeing how beautiful it is in the rear-view mirror after he graduates. I assume it’s the same for the other Academies.

NMMI is so so so so beautiful…

West Point is ranked the best place to watch a college football game in the country. It is pretty cool.

The skyline of Manhattan from Kings Point is awe inspiring, especially when you think of of what is missing today that was there on September 10, 2001. It is a constant reminder to the Midshipman of what they are there to protect.

The CGA is small but has many beautiful venues. Check out this image of the Thames River in the background of the (small) but scenic football stadium. All the schools have much to offer.

BTW that is JM’s MMA kids marching on.
