Which of the two should i apply to?

Hi!
I’m an international student seeking need-based financial aid and merit scholarships if available. I want to choose between Vanderbilt and JHU for computer engineering based on which one will be easier to get into.

I have a 44/45 predicted IB ~ approx. 3.96 gpa.
Perfect grades in IGCSE, straight a*'s.
1450 composite sat, 760m and 690r
Initiative-intensive extracurriculars and lots of leadership positions.

Also JHU has a longer supplement (500 words) compared to Vandy (which isn’t school specific), so can factor essays into chances.

thanks

Look up the accpetance rates at both. Look up what percentage of students are international. Look up the range of stats at both. All of this information is easily found if you Google common data sets of each school. That will take you five minutes. Then you will have the answer you need.

@Lindagaf, I looked up both and they are roughly the same. I was looking more for a prediction of chances - which one would be easier given my stats

both

You can determine which one is “easier” by doing as I suggested. You answered your own question, which is “roughly the same”. You need to decide which school is the best fit for you. We can’t tell you that.

You might look at the Common Data Set and see what the numbers are for aid to internationals. That might make a difference in your choice.

BOTH of course! try both ,sometimes you may be admitted in harder school but meanwhile rejected in easier school

Getting FAid as an international student of VERY difficult. Research that carefully or you may have acceptances that are extremely out of your budget.
