Hi everybody,
I am a international student from china and I have already got the undergraduate offers from both UNC at Chapel hill and USC. They are both “undecided” because I am not really sure about my academic and career option.
Those below are the main factors that make me so confused.
UNC(public): lower tuition and spending, low asian percentage, climate, good reputation.
USC(private): more opportunities and asian communities in LA, better social networking, transportation.
Which school would you choose?
Please provide your perspectives and reasons, I will be very appreciated.

As far as transportation, the public bus system in Chapel Hill is free and fairly extensive. There are also buses that go to Raleigh (NC State) and Durham (Duke). Raleigh-Durham Airport is very convenient to UNC, with free shuttles before and after some school breaks, as well as buses and taxis.
Although the percentage of Asian students is not as high as at Southern Cal, Asian and Asian-American students are certainly quite visible on campus. There is an active Asian Students Association, which has this statement on its website:
You say that you are undecided. What are some academic areas that you might be interested in? If you’re at all thinking about engineering, be aware that the only undergraduate engineering degree that UNC has is in biomedical engineering.
