I am looking at more liberal, science oriented schools but I have to pick to due to certain constraints. So out of the three I’ve narrowed down to, Choate, Andover and Exeter, which two should I apply to?

A, E and Choate are all fine choices. But each admits less than 20% of a stellar applicant pool. Pick one “reach”, and explore a less competitive school that you have a better chance at, say one of “hidden gems”.

For your stringent requirements the two out of those three that you should apply to Andover and Exeter.
However you do need to understand that there is more chance of you not getting into them, than getting in.
@2prepMom - many people have different requirements. Some may be fine with what choices they have at a local level and not have attending a boarding school of any caliber as a goal. Why bother applying to a “hidden gem” if what you have at home is better?

Thanks for your responses. I’m not applying to a safety school as it is not necessary that I go to boarding school, but I would very much like to based on the advice of a friend at Andover.

Apply to Andover! Our science program’s amazing, and the stuff we offer here will literally blow your mind.

Use this to compare all the schools.

^^^Not sure how accurate/current that link is. The clubs/ECs list is more wrong than right for Choate (it DOES have Asian, Business, Democrat, Archery, Student Newspaper, Math, Ultimate Frisbee, etc.) and it certainly has a baseball team and dance program. Probably better to review each school’s website and, of course, visit if you can.
