Which people/books/figures do you generally trust?

Trust to the extent that if the person says something, then you’ll trust him/her to the extent that you’ll cite the person’s statement when you self-justify the validity of a position/statement to yourself (or when you justify the validity of the position to someone who does not hold anything against the person?)

Or in shorter terms, if X says it is so, then you’re content with believing that it is true.

==

As for me, I very highly trust:

E.O. Wilson
Steven Pinker

hmm,not quite sure of others
Maybe Francis Crick

Thomas Friedman, author and NYT columnist

I won’t go against the Enlightenment and just follow whatever he prints but I generally believe him to be honest and informed.
