Which pre-u or high school should I go?

I’m currently studying in a Singapore private school, this school didn’t offer any sat or act exam n has no U.S. Uni acceptance history,I’m in my final year,but would like to go another year in order to satisfy my SAT score,which school should I go? I want to go to top UNIs like Stanford or UCB. Help!!! Warm regard.

Idk what we are supposed to tell you… There are thousands of high schools around the world. If your school isn’t working for you, find a new one.

do u know which school has the highest acceptance rate to Stanford or UCB?

There is no guarantee that if you attend a HS with a high acceptance rate for these schools, you would get admitted. These schools are extremely competitive and you will be accepted based on your own merits not where you went for HS. You could be the first from your HS to be admitted if you are that outstanding applicant. HS will many times offer SAT prep classes available to the general public and will be SAT test locations. Just find a prep class and test center near you. What classes at a HS satisfy the SAT? There are no classes required to take the SAT??? Do not understand your statements???

You can use that tool to show you the California HS with the highest admit rate to UCB. What you’ll find is that, even the most ‘successful’ school’s have an acceptance rate below 30%. That means more than 70% of the applicants from that school were not admitted to UCB.

For Stanford, they don’t take more than a couple from any one high school in a given year. There are more than 25,000 high schools in the US alone. Last year Stanford admitted about 2,100 applicants from all over the world.

As for SAT prep - there are countless on-line resources, many free - including the College Board’s collaboration with Khan Academy. I am sure you can find a location to take the test.

As an international student, it doesnt really matter where you go for your last year of high school because you would not be guaranteed admission to those schools, at all.

It doesn’t sound like you know how admissions work in the U.S. GPA and test scores first.
The College Board provides test sites (like high schools) where students can sign up online to take the tests.
Some high schools provide practice in taking the tests but that is up to the school.

The University of California at Berkeley is a public school, which means, that the people of California pay taxes to fund this university. Priority goes to the state residents. As a nonresident, you wouldn’t have priority, no matter what school you attend for 12th grade. Graduating from our high schools in California does not make you a state resident.

Stanford is a private university that only has a few spots for students, so they can afford to be picky and expect the students who they feel will fit their university. These are generally students, with a social conscience, who have made a community contribution in a big way.

@NCalRent That’s a fun tool. Thanks.
