The problem is I was not notified of my acceptance until a week ago, and had already accepted another internship position. My question is: Is it ethical to decline the first offer, and if so, what should i tell them? Thanks a lot!!!</p>
<p>It is totally fine to decline an offer, as long as you write them kindly. Just simply apologize them and be sincere and nice. Don’t try to sound unnecessarily formal and long-winded.
I don’t know what your other internship is, but NIH is very prestigious. I’d definitely recommend you NIH. </p>
