I currently attend PSU and was wondering which COMPSC class I should take. My choices are COMPSC 101 and 121. I have to take 121 eventually but I was wondering If It was a beginner class cause I’ve never taken a programming course before.
As a hint for future posts, try using the name of the class (“Intro to C++ Programming”) instead of the course codes. Codes are different for every university and it may be difficult to figure out what you are trying to ask if you just use the codes.
Do you have an advisor? Why not ask them?
121 is Intro to programming tech
Take COMPSCI 121. According to the university bulletin website, you may only receive credit for one of the following: 101, 200, 201, 202, 121. This is because all of these are intro level courses for those with no experience, and so taking multiple would be like repeating the class.
