I’m going to start this off by saying that I’m agnostic, so my labeled religion does not really matter to me. That being said, which religion should I say I am for scholarship applications? Are there any that have more significantly scholarship opportunities than others? Thanks!
It doesn’t matter. Most scholarships awarded based on religious belief also ask to see the involvement you have with your faith…not just a check off box on an application.
Lying about it probably breaks the rules of whatever religion you choose to masquerade as.
What else are you planning to lie about on the applications? Make sure you write them down somewhere in case you are questioned later and can tell the same untruth.
And to complicate things for you, most scholarships that ask for your religious affiliation ask for verification from the pastor/leader of your place of worship, so lying probably won’t help much (as a pastor, I’ve had to fill out a bunch of those forms).
I can’t wait to see the personal statement where you describe the role that faith has had in your upbringing and your commitment to healing the sick or teaching prisoners…
Have the honesty, the integrity, the guts, to be who you ARE, not the person you think will get you the most cash.
As someone who DOES practice her faith, I have to say I’m very offended by your whole premise.
Is there any way I can like bodangle’s statement more than once???
