Which SAT II subj Test to choose?

I’m really gutted. I finally decided to do Maths IIC, Bio and French. But apparently I found from a post I posted earlier, some Unis(Harvard-which is my first choice) don’t accept SATII in the ‘applicants native language’. Im gutted, now the only one that makes the most sense to choose is Chemistry, since I am already doing it from AS, but the thing is how do I show that I’m a BWRK with only 2 sciences and maths? and apparently there are really similar because there are so calculation based.

What do I do? I don’t have time to go over something else like World History or anything else, because I got my real exams, for the ones in the UK end of May and the SAT II are in June? I can always do a third SAT in october, but then that one I’ll only have one chance at, caus any later than that the colleges won’t receive my scores in time.

I can always do an SAT crash course and revision this summer(some summer it’s gonna be) and take it first available date in Autumn. but which one would be best to take? I know this sounds really bad, but which one is actually seen as a ‘good SAT II’ subj to take and is actually hard to take?

I did English Lit last year, but I looked at the course content at the SATII is completely different. I have not done History in like 5 years. American History I’be never done caus I never done GCSE History. I’ve done ICT and Geography, but there not SAT subjects. I don’t mind having to learn and spend my entire summer revising for the test. But I really need help!!!

Thank you

Well Lit is always a good bet as it doesn’t really require much preparation, as it’s based more upon innate ability/affinity for the type of questions the test asks.

What was your CR score like? The Lit test isn’t really based upon any syllabus or course, it’s more of a souped-up CR section. Assuming you’re comfortable with the level of English tested, I’d have to recommend Literature…

Er, they do accept SAT II language tests that happen to be your native language, but they won’t really dazzle the adcoms, because you speak it natively (of course you’d do well on it). Then again, I don’t think SAT II scores are really meant to dazzle, but rather to serve as another tool for eliminating applicants (i.e. those that don’t fulfill the requirements).

kyledavid80: Yh, well then wouldn’t choosing French, over subj just eliminate me anyways? I’m not sure about the Literature exam. I did best I think 690 on the reading section, and that was without trying practising or anything. But i tried the Lit question on the CB’s blue book, and it was hard. I’ll look over it again. What do you need to know to do well on that? I just found it hard, caus in the UK, when you do Lit, it’s pretty much your own interpretation and how you write. Somehow I got the feeling, in the US, it’s a lot more only one meaning for the grammar and structure in the text. I don’t know what do you think? What about the other subj, like World History or American History? Is that completely impossible to do?
