Which School fits best?

I am a junior deciding on which college to go to, and I’d love your opinions on how I can improve my resume and my list. I am thinking about the small LAC direction as being the best because classes are kept smaller and they will not be taught by TAs. I plan to major in Politics, Int’l Affairs or Labor Relations. It must be CoEd and be somewhere near real civilization, and not be incredibly religious. Here’s my profile rundown:
-GPA is 3.55 unweighted, 3.9 on a 5-pt scale
-1380 SAT, have not taken ACT yet
-I will have 7 AP classes and 17 Honors done by the end of HS
-I have been a soccer referee for 3.5 years
-I joined the tennis team (JV) this Spring
-I play rec soccer, and have since I was little
-I’m a Ping Pong club member

And Here’s my list so far:
-American U
-Dickinson
-Rhodes college
-University of Richmond
-College of the Atlantic

My parents have $160,000 in a 529 plan for me and that’s all the help I’m gonna get, and I want to get out debt free. My family income has been 210k/yr until my dad lost his job 3 months ago…

Do some more research on here and look at the journeys of kids with your type of portfolio

Can’t find any.

Go to the search button which is the magnifying glass. Type in 3.5 gpa and dozens of threads will appear for you.

Thanks for trying to help, but if I could find anything quite like my situation in an old thread I would not have posted.

Good luck!

$160k is a very good amount of money, but it probably won’t cover everything if you’re looking to do a private university. It would depend on the financial aid package you get. You can’t go wrong going to an in-state university. You would likely have money left over for graduate school. Go onto each school website and fill out the net-price calculator and see what you get. That should give you a better idea on how far that money will go.

What state do you live in?

Virginia, but I’m not into UVA or William and Mary. I couldn’t care less what corner of the world my college is in

GMU and American Honor (early deadlines).
Kalamazoo for a safety.
You can try Penn State (they have labor relations AND international relations/try for Schreyer due to rigor).
UMD may be possible too.
