Which School is Academically Harder (Undergraduate)?

I got accepted to USC and UCSB. I’m wondering which school is academically harder. I’m looking into going to graduate school for a Law Degree. I’m majoring at both colleges as a Philosophy major.

Thanks for the Help

This is going to be hard to gauge reliably; there are simply too many variables and it would be difficult, even if you could figure out all the rights questions to ask, to convince enough students to answer them for you to have anything approaching a representative sample.

It’s probably easier to hammer out which programs/majors/classes are hardest, and those answers depend on the individual.

I can tell you that both are well respected and will carry plenty of majors and classes that would be challenging to you.

Every major has hard classes, and it’s your job to figure out what those are and either embrace them or avoid them. (I challenge you to embrace them, to squeeze as much knowledge out of your undergrad experience as you can.)

Are you in-state or OOS for UCSB? Paying sticker at USC?

I’m in State for UCSB and I’m waiting on my financial aid for both Schools.

UCSB will most likely be cheaper

If you believe that the difficulty of classes at a university is related to the SAT scores of the students, then you may be interested in checking out

According to this website, the average SAT of students at USC is 2070, and the average SAT at UCSB is 1850.
