Which School is currently producing some of the brightest minds in the most up coming industry?
Very big at USC. I don’t know who is leader per say and you can google this stuff obviously, but they are doing some very cool stuff there.

The best way for you to find this out is to find some published research articles on virtual reality - try looking on Google Scholar - and then seeing who the primary/senior author is, then seeing where that person runs their lab.
But if you are looking for undergraduate schools, you don’t need to find schools that are “leading” VR research. As an undergrad, your job isn’t to find the most cutting-edge labs. Your job is to find the best college for you in a variety of different criteria. That might include looking for a place where some VR research is being done but where you can learn the basics of research in case you decide to get a research degree later on.
I second USC, a S of my friend was hired away from Pixar to be a tenured professor at USC, he is the top in the VR field.
Another school you should consider is CMU.
Thanks everyone. Is USC strong on undergraduate research, especially for areas of future technologies like Virtual Reality? I have heard mixed opinions about the opportunities for undergrad.
Oh, you know, USC just has its own VR lab
