I got in to the University of Miami, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University, Syracuse University, and the University of Maine.
I really like all these schools, but I am just having a hard time deciding. I am interested in majoring in biomedical engineering. I am an African American male and I am truly interested in something different in my college experience. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania and life can be so bleak sometimes. I want to attend a college that has a beautiful campus, fun and social people, strong academics, a personalized education, a good reputation, but also is within my budget. I like Miami, but the financial aid they are giving is twice my EFC. Chapel Hill and Syracuse were very generous and reasonably priced, but Chapel Hill’s BME program is non accredited and I have heard that the social sphere at Syracuse is Greek dominated which is a turn off for me. Maine is offering me a near full ride, but I do not know much about the diversity or about the school as a whole. Wake Forest is on my radar because I have seen and heard a lot of great things going on there and the people seemed incredibly friendly. I am just really unsure because they are all great places!!! Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
