My mom and I have a few options of which high school to send my 6th grade brother to. He’s young, but we need to prepare him for whatever high school we decide on.

School #1 (Private)
- He’s currently enrolled and loves it
- Horrible education
- He (as well us my family) wants to go to an Ivy. The school has a HORRIBLE reputation of sending kids to Ivies. In fact, one girl went out of state last year (to Emory).
- overly religious (engraves in children’s minds that if not Christian, will go to Hell.)
- known drug problem
- good chances of making sports teams
- easily be top 10
- fun HS life

School #2 (Private)
- about $24k/year (manageable, but will be a dent in the wallet)
- great facilities, so many EC opportunities
- has a few significant clubs that are very active
- great Ivy reputation
- lots of snobby rich kids
- known drinking problem
- no chance of making sports teams
- easily be top 10
- fun HS life

School #3 (Public)
- FREE TUITION
- nationally ranked (top 10 by Newsweek)
- extremely rigorous curriculum (overwhelming and I don’t recommend it for my brother as I go to this school now)
- so many clubs (probably 30+), that there are only 2 or 3 strong and active clubs; the others have 5-10 members and all they do in meetings is sit and chat
- kids have no time for sports teams
- basically impossible to be top 10 unless you’re a born genius (my brother is smart, but not a born genius)
- no HS life, actually no life at all because you have to study so much

I’m leaning towards school #2. What do you guys think?
