I’ve got money on Alabama. I don’t think they’ll be a national powerhouse anytime soon but I think they could take Tennessee’s place as the best southern state school after UGA. They’ve gotten a lot of top students recently through their automatic merit scholarships and I think that’s going to increase as long as they don’t keep lowering the award amounts.
