I just got into Vanderbilt’s Peabody school in the Human and Organizational Development major, but I was also accepted into the Penn state Smeal Sapphire program. I’m waiting for four more schools (uva, duke, emory, and w&m). I’m having a really tough time weighing the two schools. I want to go into managing or marketing. The sapphire program is really unique, but at the same time Vanderbilt is a great school. Any advice?

I see you live in PSU, you do have the instate tuition…

I am not going to act like I am qualified to even have a real opinion so I have a question, did you visit for the sapphire program?? I also got accepted but I didn’t get a chance to visit and I was going on the 31st but that fell through. I am hoping to catch another day just for sapphire students. If so, what did you think?

I went for the buisness day, but there was only me and one other kid there from sapphire. It seems like a really good program. What it basically does is it gives you all the buisness courses your first two years instead of the last two so you’re more prepared. I didn’t understand it completely, but it seems cool there are only 80 of us in it.

yep, exactly. I like being in a seperate group. It must be better for job opps and internships if you can distinguish yourself from the rest of the class.
