Which schools accept senior Chinese students?

A Chinese girl is a 11th grader at a public school as an exchange student now and her exchange US visa will expire in end of this school year. She wants to continue her study and finish high school in US and apply US colleges but she does not want to repeat 11th grade. She is an average student and does not have special talent such as sport or music. She completed her freshman and sophomore year in China.

I’d appreciate if you know any schools accept international student as senior and provide support for college placement. If it’s very hard, the girl is open to repeat 11th grade.

Thanks.

yeah there should be schools in the US that accept new students in the senior year. i’m not sure about any names, but do a little bit of research and you should find something.

I would think her chances would be increased substantially if she were to apply for 11th grade. That extra year might also give her the opportunity to show that she is more than an “average student”. I think there are many schools that accept 11th graders - just get up on Prep School Review and then make a few phone calls. But most application deadlines are pretty much up for entrance in Sept. 11’ so you may want to figure out which schools accept late apps. Many do.

Thank to vivsters and Madaket for your suggestion. Yes, I did many calls and none of schools accept 12th grade student from China. Now the girl is going to apply 11th grade and hope it works out for her.
