^^that’s funny that you mention that, because a couple of people who got into Harvard were in the newspaper and the principal said they got “perfect” scores. They were around 1800/2400

AHAHAH SUP SIXTH GRADER! i’m pretty sure that statement indicates that you have been humbled :).

DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! are you kidding me? in a meritocracy, merit is **objective/b not subjective (ECs, essays, recs, etc.).

don’t really care. that still doesn’t refute the fact that MIT and Caltech both have a hard time recruiting females and as a result take less qualified females over males. also, i find this funny coming from someone who has made a post about “males being better than females at math and science.” using your logic, wouldn’t males be better suited/more qualified to go to a school like MIT or Caltech?

so what? obviously the person would have had to work pretty damn hard for that 1800? i’m sorry but just from looking at some of your posts you seem like a bad person or you’re really insensitive. just be thankful for your own ability and don’t belittle others’.

Ah, the irony.

would u give this a rest? i wasn’t the one who made that post.

i wasn’t really trying to make a point…i just pointed that out because it’s what happens in my school. =]

MODERATOR’S NOTE TO “Which schools are true meritocracies?” THREAD:

I’ll close the thread because there is a distinct lack of, um, merit in several of the recent replies. I’ll leave the thread visible so that the more substantive answers that were posted earlier can still be read.
