Which schools value research?

Like the title says, which STEM school value if a student has performed supervised research on their intended major? Also I will have a LOR from my professor and will send in an abstract instead of my full paper.

I know Stanford, MIT, Caltech etc etc all probably respect this EC, but I’m talking slightly less competitive colleges, private or public.

Why does it matter? If you did research, and are proud of your work, you talk about it. Simple as that. I can’t imagine why it would make sense to not talk about an endeavor you spent significant time on.
