I’m an IB student with semester system. I got 40/42 for both grade 11 semester 1 and 2, but my grades dropped into 37 in term 1 grade 12. I may only increase my grade to 38 or 39 in grade 12 semester 1. Do you think universities consider grade 11 scores more or grade 12 semester 1 scores?
One reason they look at 12th grade scores is that they don’t want to see students easing off. If your S1 scores are available for your application, they will look at them, likely assessing trend rather than from the perspective of more or less important. Your 9th and 10th grade transcript will also matter.
