Hey, I’m a Canadian student applying to HYPSM + UCB + UMich + CMU.
I have a 2210 in the SAT and 35 in the ACT. Obviously, I’m going to submit the 35, but should I also submit the 2210?

You can submit both but I think if you submit one that should be sufficient. Some of the higher tier schools require scores for both (or may ask for them) such as Harvard, Yale, etc. But other than that just submit your best score.
For some HYPSM, at least S, you need to submit all scores. If you need to submit SAT2 scores anyway, include the SAT1. It may not help but would not hurt.
Go onto the website for each school that you are applying to and read about their requirements. I would think if you do not need to send all scores, then don’t. Most schools that you are interested more than likely want all scores to be sent but some might not (Michigan might be one where you can pick and choose.) I can’t see why you would send the SAT score when the ACT is so much higher unless you have to. (Having said that, I doubt the SATs will hurt you, they just won’t help you). And, look into whether or not your schools require SAT subject tests. Good luck,
@njmom666 @billcsho I’ve already done the SAT 2s as well and will be submitting them, but I was just wondering if sending the SAT as well would hurt me. If it’s necessary for it to be submitted, then I will.
The ACT is fine. The SAT won’t hurt you.
I wouldn’t think the SAT score would hurt but I’m not an admissions officer. All I know is that side by side the ACT is a better score (and a great one!)
For UCB, you must submit both the ACT and the SAT if you took both. They take the highest one of both (by converting the ACT score to a scale for an SAT score).
