Let me explain the situation in India. After Std 10, we get a choice…either take science OR commerce. Since i wanted to do a major in Business Admin., i figured i should take commerce (eco/accountancy…) and not science. It became impossible for me to Give 3 SAT II subject tests of any combination other than Writing, IC and IIC… my second language is Hindi (not offered) and i had left science two yrs. ago… will universities understand that ? Canji still have hope to enter in to a good univ. ?what scores whould i get ?

SAT I 1410 (v-620/m-790)
TOEFL 233-287 (still awaiting)
Ranked : First in class of 100
Community Service : Interact Club - Director of Club Service

Clearly, you would do well in the math subject tests. You may also want to consider taking either World History or US History (somewhat easy to self-study for). Many colleges also want writing.

Additionally, there are many good universities that don’t require subject tests at all.

no im gonna give ISC…i gave ICSE in class 10… suppose i appy to UPenn/Berkeley/Michigan (AnnArbor) or maybe NUS (Singapore)… i m also applying to Indiana Bloomington and U Ill. Urbana…how much would a good SAT II score be ?

700+ in all three u mean ?.. i can get it in two out of three…still wondering about Writing… maybe i’ll get 650 in that…yes i’m applying this year

mishra, i have the same problem…did icse in 10th and hav now switched to cbse commerce stream, have taken math1c math2c and writing…as far as i know it does put us at a disadvtg. but there’s not much that we can do about that.

no problem with givingmath 1c and math 2c as far as i know… dont even think abt giving science SAT 2s with icse class 10 knowledge. Lots of us in Plus 2 science managed to screw the papers up and it would probably be worse for u.
