I am vacillating between my chemistry, calculus, and American history teachers right now and need to choose two. I have great grades in chem and US but a B in calc. Any advice? BTW, I have had all of these teachers for two years, so they probably know me more than they would like to :)

Most schools would like a rec in the humanities and another in the math/sciences. So your US History teacher should be an automatic yes. For the other rec, I’d go with chem, unless you have a significantly better relationship with the calc teacher (like for me, I was the best chem student in my class, but my teacher and I weren’t that close, so I asked my calc teacher for the rec, although I wasn’t doing half bad in that class).

mmmmm, thanks

A teacher that you know for sure will be unhesitating in giving you an excellent recommendation.

a teacher who won’t notice your grammar ? ;)

+1 I am consistently amazed at the self-professed top notch students on this site who apparently fell asleep during elementary English grammar lessons.

I am amazed too! Too much texting and too much standardized testing.
