Which test is better for people who don't understand math and who aren't very smart?

I’ve literally never been a good math student. I’ve always gotten a B or lower. I just don’t understand math no matter how much tutoring I get. I my first time taking the SAT in June I was only able to get a 500 in math without my calculator. That’s terrible. Now I am taking practice tests WITH a calculator and I score LOWER than 500. I just don’t know HOW I can possibly get higher than a 500. I have by the December SAT date to get a 700 but I highly doubt that will happen. I don’t know if the ACT math is easier but I heard in general it is an easier test.

ANd for critical reading, on the official test I got a 540 because I have terrible reading comprehension and on the writing section I got a 620. In general I am not very smart so I really just don’t know what to do at this point. All for a total of 1660.

Which one should I take?

*BTW, I need at least a 32 on the SAT or a 1400 (CR+M) to get a scholarship. HIGHLY doubt this will ever happen though.

Thanks!!!

What are the rest of your stats? There are “test optional” schools where you don’t have to provide test scores. Based on your comments, unless you can improve your test prep and get your scores up, you aren’t going to get that particular scholarship you are shooting for. But it isn’t the only scholarship in the world… You might be a good candidate for a SAT prep class if you haven’t taken one yet.

540-CR
620-W
500-M

Not good at all!

No one? lol! I’m desperate here!

Well…
ACT math covers more stuffs so continue SAT

Darn…that sucks…well thanks anyway.

It is likely difficult to get 1400 by later this year, but the scores you have would be fine for many schools. There are schools that don’t require SAT scores that may appreciate your strengths as well.
