I got accepted in UCSD,UCD and VT. Affordability is the most important factor while deciding the college so VT seems the best option and also i got computer science in VT and UCD but undeclared in UCSD. The computer science in UCSD is the best among these. I am confused as to which to choose. Please comment.
VT since it’s the most affordable to you and affordability is a key criterion. In addition, CS will be rigorous everywhere.
If you did not get direct admission to CS at UCSD, your chance of getting into CS after enrolling there is low. Need a 3.3 GPA in the prerequisite courses to enter a lottery for admission to the major: https://cse.ucsd.edu/undergraduate/cse-capped-admissions-program . Prior to the lottery scheme, admission was by GPA in prerequisite courses, with typical thresholds of 3.9-4.0.
If affordability is the main concern, choose the most affordable one.
If affordability is a major factor, then VT. CS is a highly employable major regardless of where you go so pick the affordable college and graduate with little to no debt.
