Which top school did you turn down for UMass Amherst Commonwealth College?

<p>Which top school did you turn down for UMass Amherst Commonwealth College? What was your rationale? Did you have any regrets?</p>

<p>I wouldn’t say that this was a “top” school, but I turned down RPI for UMass. Even though I had significant merit money at RPI, I still would’ve had about 150,000 in debt when I graduated.</p>

<p>I have absolutely no regrets, as I’ve heard that RPI has cut some of their classes (like foreign language) in the last year, and UMass is a really good school.</p>
