<p>My daughter and I are debating about what kind of school she should attend next year. I want her to go to the Ecole (French school) for 7 and 8th grade. This would make 8 years of French school system.</p>
<p>My daughter wants to attend an English speaking school for 7th and 8th grade. Her current school is taught 100% in French. She takes CTY online courses for English writing experience and does very well.</p>
<p>I would prefer that she stays with French until 8th grade. She’ll take her SAT’s and TOEFL and most likely do very well.</p>
<p>She’s afraid that if she stays with the French curriculm, she won’t know US history and will be behind. I’ve tried to tell her that everyone will start with the same text books. </p>
<p>She thinks her lack of attending an English speaking school, will negatively affect her chance to be selected for a boarding school.</p>
<p>I know this was a tough year to be a candidate: If all else was equal, would the overseas student being taught in a language other than English offer a better chance than the exact same student attending an English International school?</p>
