<p>UIUC is home of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). That’s where Marc Andreessen was a grad student when he wrote Mosaic. Definitely UIUC.</p>

<p>UIUC is one of the top universities for engineering. The elite / famous departments: CS and civil engineering.</p>

<p>UIUC. Case Western is a good choice with merit aid available if you can’t get into or can’t afford UIUC, though.</p>
