Which university is best for mechanical engineering?

next year I have the opportunity to study in one of these universities:
University of Arkansas
Mississippi State University
Louisiana State University
University of Tennessee
University of Alabama
which one is the best for mechanical engineering? why?

The one that offers the best combination of price and atmosphere for YOU.

i’m italian and so i don’t know very much about american universities, so i need your help!
which one has the best reputation? what do you recommend?

danik90 - I don’t think there are major differences among these universities. They are mid-range (not great, not bad) for engineering and I guess the same for ME. Since they are not on the East coast of the US, don’t expect many of your contrymen or authentic cuisine available (but we may be surprised!). Mississippi State has a nice aerospace engineering program so i’m guessing their ME is also pretty good. Why these colleges in particular?

thanks!
My university in italy gives to its students the opportunity to study six months in one of these universities. And what is the best living place? How’s the weather?

Out of all these schools I would definitely recommend University of Alabama. They have a solid engineering program (the same as the rest of these schools) and offer Mechanical Engineering. It’s in Tuscaloosa so the weather is really good, it have amazing nightlife and party scene, and the football team is very competitive. It’s a great university.

thank you very much!
what do you think about the other four universities:University of Arkansas, Mississippi State University, Louisiana State University, University of Tennessee??
I understood that alabama is great, but at the same time is the most expensive…

what would you choose between University of Tennessee and Louisiana State University?
considering the place, Knoxville or Baton Rouge?
