<p>I have a 70 in AP Calc AB, which I detest with all my heart, partly b/c my teacher absolutely hates me. She forces me to take tests when I’m not there for lessons so I can purposefully fail and will not let me make up tests if I’m absent (God forbid I had extra time to study & did well! Stupid biotch!), which I don’t get why because she lets my friend make them up all the time and she gets the weekend to study & does really well. </p>
<p>I’m taking 4 other APs (I’m a senior if that helps) and have 96+ average in each of them. I asked my guidance counselor if I could switch to college calc (it’s a lot easier & weighted less) & she said yes.Since college calc has a hw grade, gets reviews before tests, and goes really slow (1 month behind us), there is no doubt that I will not get less than an A in that class, especially b/c I do understand calc, it’s just that my teacher is out to get me.</p>
<p>So the big question is, what is better for my weighted ranking (I need to move up - I’m 7th as of now), a 70 in an AP class or a 100 in a college class if AP is weighted as a “5” and college is weighted as a “4?” Would they be the same? I would think that my rank would benefit more from college calc. What do you think?</p>
