Which would be a better oppurtunity for a transfer student?

For this spring 2010 I’am trying to decide between the University of Colorado at Boulder and Depaul University in Chicago. Which would be better in terms of social networking? Both of these schools fulfill my academic needs. I want to find a niche, and really enjoy the college experience coming from a C.C where there really is not club or organization scene. I want to go to a school that has a good club and organization scene, good dining around the area, lots of students, and somewhat of a nightlife. If I go to the school in Chicago how much interaction do you think I would have with students from nearby schools llike UIC, Northwestern, or the University of Chicago?

Also I don’t know if this matters but I’ve been accepted to CU Boulder, but not Depaul yet.

To sum it down, what’s better: a college town or a big city?

depends on your personality. a big city can make some college experiences even better, and for others worst. generally speaking a social life won’t be limited to just the area around if you are in a city(and have good transportation). while if you’re in a college town, most students will generally stay on or around campus which should make it more of a “college experience”

penn,
For a wider audience, post your question on the College Search & Selection forum as it is more about the atmosphere and location of the colleges rather than strictly about transferring.
