Which would be a better use of my time?

I am going to do an outdoor backpacking camp but am stuck deciding between 2 programs. The first is a Yellowstone community service backpacking trip for 3 weeks.Coming out of this trip I would get 80 hours of community service which would help my college application. The second trip is a NOLS trip to Wyoming which would teach me a lot of life/leadership skills.I don’t know which to choose because both will be really fun but with one I get 80 hours of community service but the other is a really respected program. My question is are the community service hours thought of as legit or unimpressive or should I choose the NOLS one without the community service aspect?I know I can’t go wrong with either of them but am really stuck on what to do.

I’m doing NOLS Alaska backpacking next month

Either sounds great. I’d do whichever one you prefer. I think colleges know what NOLS is (I do). And you probably really will gain confidence and maturity from NOLS. On the other hand, our national parks need volunteer help! So that is good, too. Honestly, do whichever appeals the most to you. Edit: I see this was from February, the OP has probably already decided.
