Which year class am I in?

This may seem like a stupid question, but if I am an entering freshman next year (Fall '10), and I do the 5-year program, then logic would have it that I am in the class of 2015. However, I only see the class of 2014 everywhere as the incoming class, even on the NEU website. I know that there are both 4 and 5 year programs, but the 5 year is much more common, so I’m very confused. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you are the class of 2015 :)

My daughter was not sure what facebook class to join 2015 or 2014 - she is in the nursing program and is considering the 4 yr program as she is thinking about going on further to be a nurse practitioner. She ended up joining the 2015 class.

We know alot of students love the 5 yr experience is anyone else thinking about doing it in 4 yrs. We like that the decision doesn’t have to be made until the end of her freshman year.

hi kb1001. my daughter is also starting the nursing program this fall. when we went to accepted students day, they said they were still trying to determine how the 4 versus 5 year option would work out. in fact, some parents expressed concern that their child would have to choose which option before the final details were ironed out. are you sure that they can wait until the end of freshman year to decide? that would be helpful. congratulations to your daughter. is she going to live in the bouve llc?

Congrats to your daughter as well and yes my daughter signed up for to be on the bouve llc. We live in Mass and this was my daughter’s 1st choice even though Drexel had offered her lots more $$$.

We were at the same orientation and was quite frustrated that they offered the 4 yr program but couldn’t provide any details and for us this was a major consideration. I persisted and called several times finally speaking to the Dean of the Nursing School as well as the Assistant Dean of Students in Bouve. As you will recall, they both spoke at the orientation. I was reassured that the student will have to the end of their freshman year to decide what track to take. As are far the format, although they were still not 100% sure when I spoke with them mid April, it appears there would be 2 co-ops and unless you daughter has AP credits they may be required to take an on-line course or additional courses during the summer.
