<p>No lost my job, not complaining about that here, the point is a “cover up” took place crimes were committed and not investigated and the parents were not told that is the gist,</p>
<p>If you’ve already lost your job, it seems to me you have nothing more to lose. </p>
<p>From your spelling and some terms, I’m guessing you’re not in the U.S. Laws might be different overseas, but in the US, if one has been convicted of being a sex offender against children, it is my understanding that one is not legally permitted to work with children again. </p>
<p>If this is the case where you are and a convicted sex offender is working with children and is in fact photographing them and has been “caught” with them, this is clearly against the law. It’s not only that the parents should be notified, it’s that the police should be notified as well. It seems to me you should be able to provide an anonymous tip to the authorities without any harm or detriment coming to you.</p>

<p>UK laws are very much the same as US laws regarding this type of thing. If he had been convicted of a sex crime (Which his prior conviction would fall under), he would have been put on the sex registry. In which case…all you need to do is tell the Police that he’s working with kids again and he’ll be thrown in jail.</p>
<p>You dont understand, he was under investigation when he was hired (no conviction at that time) but if the college had carried out checks this would have shown up. So he went over a year before he was arrested.</p>

*What is your motive? How do you know the company was informed? And how do you know they did nothing?
*What does the computer theft have to do with this story?</p>
<p>Yes, you should report this. Is it possible the company is hiding more problems and that’s why they did nothing?</p>
<p>Think about the Catholic Church. It wasn’t just one person, one incident, or one parish. It was a culture of behavior that is no longer accepted.</p>

<p>It’s not unheard of for 15/16 year olds to be attending college in the UK. They usually get a waiver from the school for this as 17 is usually the minimum age.</p>

<p>You sound resentful that you were fired, and from the looks of it your coming forward is a combination of what you deem as unethical behavior and your need for payback. (Which is fine)</p>
<p>But from what you’ve given us, you don’t have much of a case. You informed the proper authorities about the situation, which is what any decent human being would have done.
It doesn’t seem like you can do much else except make the case public (newspaper).
In this situation be warned, UK defamation laws are very strict. They could potentially sue you if you pursue this through the media.</p>
<p>First I was not fired I resigned in disgust that despite being warned 3 months before his arrest nothing was done, as a parent I would be outraged that kids were put at risk when they knew</p>
