whistleblowing on a sex offender

Question if you were employed at a college and you found a lecturer acting inappropriately and photographing 15 year old schoolboys would you blow the whistle on him if it ment you were driven out of your job for doing so

Need more info.

Sure - then after you are forced out of your job, you sue for wrongful termination, place your compensatory award in an annuity and chill for a while.

Ok lecturer was employed while “under investigation from childrens services” he got 6 years for sex offences at a previous employment, 3 months before his arrest the management were sent a warning to which they ignored, the parents of the schoolboys have never been told, should they be told

As a parent what would your reaction be if you found out that this had been “covered up”

Bugsbun, my heart goes out to you. Thinking of suing is never easy. Isnt there any way to pursue this anonymously? Do you know this becuse you have access to his computer? Can you contact the FBI? Send them proof anonymously?

They got rid of his computer and the camera and lied to the police (uk) suing is impossible without youv got millions, Iv also been threatened by their solicitor if I reveal info to any third parties

Bugs, i am so sorry. When people complain about litigous society in US, they should thnk of you.

I suspect this guy is doing the same and more on other computers. Is there a police agency in the UK you can go to? Anonymously? The school is obviously going to do nothing.

Iv been complaining to everyone no one is interested they are protecting their highly paid jobs, if I contact the parents they will not be so easily ignored. Then let the college take action against me Iv done nothing wrong

You say you have been complaining to “everyone.” Do you mean people in the school, or people in law enforcement?

Have you called thses people and asked for advice?

http://www.ceop.police.uk/report-abuse/

Ofsted (body who controls education) Local Childrens Services and local police, when I complained at first to the college they tried to dismiss me on a false theft charge, that failed then they tried a more serious attempt which failed

Ok, are you saying, the lecturer was hired at his current job even after the management were warned? Did he serve his sentences? Not really understanding the whole scenario.

Why are 15 year old school boys at a college? I guess, based on the information that you have given, it would depend on the nature of the photographs. Was it suspicious? Was it out in the open with other people around? What do you mean that the parents were never informed?

He was hired while under “investigation” from a childrens agency no checks were carried out.3 months before his arrest the management were warned and did nothing. He got 6 years for offences at his previous employment no mention of anything at the college police werent told about the schoolboys or the computer and camera went missing. They tried to shut me up by dropping a false theft charge on me which failed then they attempted a serious move to shut me up which again failed

15 year old boys came into the college one afternoon a week from a local school, I also caught him locked in storeroom with a 16 year old boy one lunchtime. No parents were told, wouldnt you be concerned

I would be concerned, given the details, which still aren’t clear. What does he have to do with 15 yr old boys? Is he giving them a weekly lecture? You are giving very sketchy details, computer, camera, police? PleaSe, if you want our help, you will have to give clearer, coherent and some chronological details.

Yes. Please write more slowly with more punctuation. It is hard to follow. What I have gotten so far is very disturbing and we want to help you. Start to finish. Okay? :)

What country are you in?

OP said he was from UK

Ok this lecturer starts at the college with no checks carried out on him. It later turns out he is under investigation from Local childrens services for some suspicious activity. He has access to special needs students, foundation students and local 15,16 year old schoolboys. He is reported to the management for inappropriate behaviour and photographing these schoolboys for his own use this is ignored. 3 months later he is arrested for sexually abusing special needs students and paedophile internet involvement. This happened at his previous employment. He got 6 years in prison. The college principal said “nothing happened here” to which I complained and asked about the missing computer and camera. I was then intimidated by the management and they put me on a theft charge which failed. Then they decided to attempt a more serious way of “shutting me up” this to failed. I have been non stop complaining with no one listening, I have also been threatened by the college solicitor if I reveal details to third parties. I think the parents of these boys should be told
