Wonka: sorry but I’m without a computer (only have my phone for the next two weeks) and can’t reply to your pm. Feel free to send me your email and I can respond that way.

Where are y’all looking at housing for this?

I haven’t gotten an acceptance letter/email yet, so I’m not looking until it’s official. I’m thinking subletting from students at Georgetown…

I’m down to have roomates and live closer to the Capitol, is anyone thinking about rooming with someone else?

I was thinking the same, Denver. I have a buddy who has offered me an air mattress in Alexandria, but I’d rather pay for a legit bed closer to the hill.

I’m down as well Denver and Austin! … as soon as I get the go ahead…

Alright, lets hope to hearing some good news this Monday! Last year you had people notified earlier, so I think we are all in the first group to get notified. I’ve already started looking for people subletting apartments, but i’ll continue to look with a focus on possibly a three bedroom?

Sure! Thanks!

sounds good to me as well! I’m sure they’ll direct us to housing option and all once they notify us. hopefully, haha

Hope you’re right about today Denver. But I’m thinking we still have 1-2 weeks. Are you guys thinking of flying or driving to dc?

Austin,

PoliticalMarine has some experience doing this and they think that we will be hearing soon. Probably the conditional acceptances, still though, would be incredibly awesome.

I submitted my three sets of forms about 10 days ago, so i may
be a bit behind you Denver.

I submitted it 12 days ago, still think that everyone will hear today, later in the evening…

Hope you’re right. This is my spring break, so other than piecing together a thesis proposal I’m just waiting to hear back about this. Looking at last summer’s group, it appears they didn’t hear until the end of the month (at least not en mass). Did you have to submit three separate sets of forms, or just vitals and SF86?

I just submitted all of my forms (3 of them) last night, so I’m gonna be way behind.

Anyone get acceptances yet?

Austin,

SF86, Internship Forms, and the Other Set of Forms. Arabian, we’ll let you know when and if something happens. Apologies to everyone if I got your hopes up, I was sure today was the day #premonitionfail

looking back through the old forums, it seems that our process has been slightly different from the past

for example, and correct me if i’m wrong, in no other application years did applicants receive full background checks. indeed, on page 159, it says that full bg checks were done on the first week on the job - after the applicants had already been accepted.

interesting…

another thing to keep in mind: whdenver - you seem pretty certain that departmental review is an indication of conditional acceptance.

i’m not so sure. compared to other application seasons, we are still VERY early in the process. i would personally be very surprised if we heard back within the 1-2 weeks that you’re claiming

in addition, you guys said that email made it pretty clear that departmental review did NOT = acceptance right? i just don’t want everyone at your stage to get too excited

Last year people heard back around April 1. One of my classmates was an intern last summer and said he filled out the same set of forms we have, so I’m thinking we’re on a similar timeline. I think friday, march 30th or monday, April 2nd are our notification days.

Wish it was earlier, but this is also around the timeline
my interviewer alluded to.
