Just got my third vitals…

You mean Application in Process? Me too…

just got the same thing too

Yeah, I didn’t get a vitals email…not a rejection either. Nothing so far this week. I’ll check my spam folder later tonight, or shall I say this morning.

Hey All,

I looked at the forum and last year the last acceptance (posted obviously) was April 11 (East2WestLaw), which this year would happen next monday. So there is still hope!

Best,

Denver

that’s good to know, thank you! i still feel pretty good since the dates have been rolling at other stages but I am getting nervous about housing for summer

Has anyone who received the background check forms not been accepted?

that’s a good q…i’d love to know the answer

I know someone who received those forms and was waitlisted, though not rejected.

I’ve been told that security forms + phone interview = your selection by the office interviewing you. But, changes can be made by the central internship office at any time. So if you have those two, you are likely to be selected. Otherwise it’s hit or miss.

Good luck!

Anyone think today’s the day?

I hope Friday is. I think they usually notify on Fridays.

Hello everyone! Good luck with decisions coming out! I am considering applying for next semester and was wondering if anyone could send me this past semesters’ essay questions. They are no longer available on the website, and the ones I keep finding online vary as they are from different years.

Thanks for any help you can offer! Again, good luck! :)

Got a call an hour ago to verify something that had been accidentally omitted from my sf86. Maybe they are wrapping up check for aj evening notification?

Let’s hope so.

Hey All!

First, I’d like to congratulate everyone who received an internship position for the Summer 2012 program! I’m sure it will be an amazing experience =)

I was wondering if anyone here had applied for the Volunteer Program for the Office of Presidential Correspondence. The deadline for Summer was on April 1st so I was wondering when we’d start hearing back in time to get an interview (if needed), find housing, prepare, etc. Does anyone know anything about it? Also, is it as competitive as the internship? Thanks!

Can someone define a “vitals” email for me?

samoby,

The vitals email has been defined multiple times on the thread previously, but a quick explanation of it is an email the WH sends you with the subject title, “Vitals information”. In it they ask you to confirm your DOB, SSN, and other pertinent information about yourself. This does not necessarily mean your moving on. Several people have received a vitals email and then been rejected. It is seen to be a good sign though.

Best,

Denver

If you are looking for housing for the internship this summer and have already been selected for the program, feel free send me a PM. I’m a former intern in the program living and working in the DC area and we are looking for a housemate. We have a preference for grad students but don’t hesitate to reach out if you are not one.

If you have been selected at this time, I can also respond to general questions about the internship program as well.

Anyone still waiting to hear back? I’ve turned all my forms in (vitals, SF86, etc.) and I received an email last Monday saying the notification process has begun and I would find out soon.
