the same happened to me, 2 interviews and a DR but nothing else
dam same here. Also did anyone get interviewed for a department they did not apply for? i only got interviewed by 1 department and that wasn’t even one of my choices and if i don’t get picked by that department does that mean I lose my chances at the internship since i didn’t hear from any other departments? I have no idea how this works…
@hamburger5 Yeah unfortunately it does. But there is time yet, remember – there are people who are interviewed up until the first week that the internship begins.
That and once people submit their forms and complete their background checks not everybody passes and then alternates need to be both interviewed and selected. So it’s still early yet. Lastly, all the offices do their interviewing at very different times and not all do the process in the same way/format (i.e. one interview vs. two or three)– some may do them at the beginning, and others may wait to the last second because of the office workload. So it behooves us to just be patient ,hope for the best and try to take her minds off of it. The notification date is usually a very loose, loose guideline that means little but to a few offices. Good luck my friends!
Does anyone have a gauge of the likelihood of getting an offer after turning in DR forms? I feel like we’re left in the dark!
@Supererogation Oh okay thanks. Guess it’s just a waiting game now. It sucks I was feeling so confident after my 2 interviews and
DR requests but after coming on here and seeing that a lot of people went through the same process, I’m back to doubting my chances at the internship.
Hey everyone. Been lurkin on here for a bit. I did an interview last week and got my DR forms a couple days ago. Just out of curiosity- what do they check for on a background check?
i got my forms a while back as well. What office did you interview for?
dpc hopin to hear back soon. you @bh949494 ?
AHHH did anyone get any news from the White House yet?!
Nothing yet
Looks like we’ll gain a greater understanding of the old adage “patience is a virtue” this week.
Hello,
Does anyone know what the chances are of getting the internship if you’ve had an interview and submitted DR forms?
Also has anyone heard anything yet?
Thanks!
Just got an e-mail notifying that the notification timeline has been moved to mid-July. Sigh 8-|
The wait is killing me…
I really hope they start sending notifications soon
Can anyone talk a bit more about what the SF86 process is like? It says that some people may get interviewed on the form. I was just wondering - how likely is this? How much do they dig into your past? I want to know what my friends should expect.
Which form is the SF86? Is that part of the departmental review forms we had to sign??
I got the SF86 in a separate email, but the email said it was part of the departmental review. It asks a boatload of questions and its about 130 pages long. I’m not sure if all offices send em out.
From what I know about SF86, they usually ask you for that info if they need more security clearance for your background check…probably has nothing to do with you personally, just a way to clarify your record is clean. They usually do that for people who may have dual citizenships, or family members with dual citizenships.
At least that means they’re looking at you!
@osrmz299 Does that mean that only some people receive SF-86 forms in the departmental review phase? I got mine about a month ago, patiently waiting to hear back now.
From what I’ve read in this forum, it doesn’t seem like references are often contacted, but I guess that’s still up in the air. Best of luck to all of you!
I have no idea. Hopefully only some receive the SF-86 forms…since I didn’t receive them. I only sent some papers back for the departmental review phase. Does anyone know if the SF-86 is required for all possibly accepted applicants?
Ugh the wait is killing me. I really hope they start notifying people soon…I just need some closure!
