<p>Looking for a nurturing place for late-blooming S who’s looking into preparing for a career in sports training, coaching, management. Friends referred us to Whitworth. Any information from this group will be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Supposed to be a great friendly Christian college. My sister and family attend church next door to there and are very sopportive of the institution.</p>
<p>My D is looking at Whitman, Whitworth, Gonzaga, PLU, SPU, etc…thus far Whitworth is most appealing. I am not sure of her reasons, but in surfing their site, I am liking the core requirements, I am, thus far, inpressed with people to whom I have spoken in FinAid & Admissions. A family friend has sent all 4 of their kids to Whitworth!</p>
<p>We are still exploring as she is looking for fall 08, but so far, since last fall, it has slowly risen to the top of the list :)</p>
<p>D’s second grade teacher’s D, attended Whitworth and absolutely loved it. She has since graduated and is a law student at Gonzaga. Whitworth may be a Christian affiliated college but I didn’t get the impression there is forced religious indoctrination.</p>
