Who are some cool speakers Wharton has recently brought in?

<p>I’m trying to make a choice between harvard econ and Wharton. So far, I think Wharton’s winning, but they’re giving me less financial aid than Harvard (family would have to pay $15k vs full ride at Harvard). So, to try to make my choice, I’m wondering what type of speakers Wharton has recently brought in…</p>

<p>speakers also come to individual classes rather than to the whole university; for example, i had one of the deputy commissioners of the fda come to talk to my healthcare management course a few weeks ago.</p>

<p>Like Harvard, Penn in general and Wharton in particular have many prominent and interesting speakers from diverse backgrounds come to campus. Just within the past couple of weeks, speakers at Penn have included former President Bill Clinton, famous fashion designer Kenneth Cole, and the Canadian Ambassador to the US, among others. And of course, Wharton is constantly bringing in prominent corporate CEOs and other high level corporate officers and government officials.</p>

<p>In terms of the financial aid, I second the recommendation that you try to get Penn to match Harvard’s offer–and don’t be shy about it!</p>

<p>I agree with tenebrousfire–you should contact Penn Financial Aid, explain your situation (mention the Harvard offer specifically) and ask if they would relook at your application. </p>
