Thanks so much @book05 and @SpoolMan ! That makes me feel a whole lot better. Guess it’s just time to wait now…

Don’t feel at all bad about not getting an interview. I was freaking out about it (I’m from a fairly large CA city and got one from all the other ivies I applied to) but was accepted with a likely letter a few days ago. So yes, you can get in without an interview!

why my D get "Columbia Financial Aid Application Reminder " today?

I got it too. Looks like they sent it to applicants so that they check their financial aid status before 21st March. Not necessarily because any documents are missing.

I didn’t get said email.

As soon as I opened the email, I knew someone would post about it. They anxiety level on CC never ceases to amaze me haha.

It looks like a generic email sent out to everyone who applied for financial aid. I wouldn’t assume anything from it.

I’m sorry in advance for posting twice - just trying to get more opinions.

"I feel like I’ll feel really silly for asking really soon, but I just had to.

So I received a interview request this weekend and responded as quickly as possible. I just got word today that it’s tentatively set for Friday, which leads to the question: should I read into it? Going in, I didn’t think I had much of a shot. Reason being health problems, low SAT, average GPA etc. I thought I was a wild card for sure because of events out of my control and stellar essays but why gather information of a candidate less than a week before the decision? Would the university really put time into a kid they knew they would never select? Maybe it’s just optimistic me thinking I still have a shot? Hope please?"
