<p>In an MIT admission information session I attended last fall, the admission officer mentioned some new initiatives MIT is developing for problem-solving in certain subject areas. He mentioned energy, and poverty, and education. I’m wondering if these initiatives have a person in charge, and especially who is in charge of the education initiative, as I have some suggestions about that area of concern. I could, I suppose, just send an email to the MIT president’s office, since these initiatives were announced by the MIT president, but I always like to write more specifically when I can. </p>
