& I don’t even * like* football.

I like football and really enjoyed the run and rooting for Seattle!

Unbelievable game! That run was incredible. They always say that you judge a run by what happens after the first time the rusher get touched. How many tackles did this guy break, maybe 4?

So will Steve grow his 'stache?

LOVED the game! I got a bit nervous in the 3rd quarter, but that run was a thing of beauty.

(We had season tickets way back when Raible was a player. Had to give them up when we became parents. Now that we’re empty-nesters we might do it again.)

We had season tickets way back when Raible was a player.

wow, did they even have the " Kingdom" then? ;)

We used to have Mariners season tickets- drug the kids along- my youngest was asleep unless Randy Johnson was pitching. She even grabbed her mitt out of Jamie Moyers hands, when they were doing autographs.
:o
sigh.
Soccer she likes.

I promised I was going to learn about football last August & I have been trying, but listening to it on the radio is really hard to figure out what is going on.
Guess I gotta find a good sports bar with big screens.

( I went to games when I was * young* & I lived in Kirkland-, but that was at least a century ago.)

^^^ Our DC based local sports guy said nine broken tackles. Incredible.

And Hasslebeck threw 4 TDs .
The whole team was amazing.

emeraldkity4, I’ve tried to find a good book on football strategy, because the strategy is why I like the game. It’s tough to learn that without ever being able to play yourself. I enjoyed reading the book “The Blind Side”. It goes into a lot of the strategy and the business of football, as well as telling the story of Michael Oher which was the central story of the movie.

It is a marathon, not a sprint though. Seattle may have expended so much energy against the Saints and Rams that they will have nothing left for the Bears or Falcons.

I would like to thank the Seattle for removing a potentially dangerous opponent that the Patriots might have had to face in the Super Bowl.

It was a terrific run, looked to me like the last New Orleans defender got clipped - shoved from behind by two Seattle blockers. Seattle got away with one there.

That’s what coffee’s for.
:D

Marshawn Lynch played at Cal and I remember my DD talking about him when she would go to the games, same with DeSean Jackson. It’s fun to see players who were doing great in college move up to the NFL and still be good.

An announcer said that the Seahawks picked up Lynch from Buffalo mid-season, it made me wonder if Pete Carroll was more familiar with him from the Pac10 and wanted him. He would have seen the film & scouting reports for several seasons in college and played against him a few times, not just seeing a recruiting tape.

I can’t stand Pete Carroll, but I was glad for the Seahawks.

I don’t know about expending too much energy being the reason they might lose next week. The Seahawks just don’t typically play on the same level as the top rated teams. They had a great day, they all played their hearts out, and it turned out to be “any given Sunday”.

As for not liking Pete Carroll, as a woman i have to admit to liking the Silver Fox. . . . .

The Seahawks beat the Bears in Chicago earlier this season. One of their few wins. Not that it means anything, of course :-)

EmeraldKitty – I’m actually more of a Mariner’s fan than a Seahawks fan, but there are too many games for season tickets. My oldest can still give details about some of those '95 games we went to when he was eight. (“The Yankees were in town. Randy was pitching. The M’s were down by two in the bottom of the eighth, two outs, Joey Cora on second. Blowers has a 2-2 count…”)
