Do I ask my sophomore english teacher, who knows me better, or my dual enrollment college calc 3 professor, who doesn’t know me as well? I’m just worried about seeming too asian if I ask my calc 3 professor, but also he doesn’t know me as well.
The better rec is going to be from the teacher who knows you better. Ideally, this would be a junior or senior year teacher.
But if you have no equivalent Jr or Sr teacher to your soph English teacher, I’d still choose that one over your college instructor. HS teachers’ observations simply are more salient to what college admissions officers want – commentary on you as a student in the HS learning environment.
Thanks! I think I’m just going to ask both and use them for different colleges.
Most colleges ask for 2, or at least allow 2. Send them both.
