You are not alone. I’m considering transferring from a top ten school to a small, private LAC because I am severely depressed at my current school. I am not a fan of the hyper-competitiveness and how fake everyone is.
Same here I thought I would like the school spirited with so many people but I am also very depress and haven’t made friends here 
I’m trying to transfer from a top 15 LAC to a research uni in my homestate due to several factors including homesickness. I personally think I’d fit in better as well.
I am only homesick because I haven’t really made any friends here so of course I am missing my family even more. I honestly thought the people at my school were nicer, but they are total bitchees excuse my language.
