Who else won't be watching the Super Bowl? And what are you doing instead?

I’ll probably still be doing homework (ugh) but trying to catch the end of quarters to see if I won any squares in the office pool. Otherwise, will check in to see the halftime show. I agree that it will be interesting to see if Coldplay can top Bruno.

I have never been invited to any Super Bowl party. Really!

I’ll be over-analyzing college choices, like every other Sunday.

I believe Elvis Presto has both Coldplay and Bruno Mars beat: http://youtu.be/b0Mz_TkBvLA

No interest whatsoever. May watch for commercials, but truly couldn’t care less.

Made the mistake of going to trader joes this morning. It was really packed and the lines were long.
Planning to relax at home and watch a movie. Maybe later I will make something simple for dinner and read a good book.

Annual party with family. Been cooking, after gym.

DA will be taped.

I’m not such a fan of Hail Cesar. Half our row, in the $20 seats, walked out.

To me, Super Bowl Sunday is just another day. So no need to do / plan anything special. Though my kids are excited about a Puppy Bowl.

I could care less about the Super Bowl. Won’t be watching. It’ll be no different than any other Sunday. I may go food shopping this evening as the stores will be empty. I’ve never been to a Super Bowl party. I may eventually watch clips online of the entertainment after the fact.

Just to be clear, my plans to go to yoga/read/watch Downton is a normal Sunday for me.

No idea what I’ll be doing - likely dinner, a soak in the tub and then DA at 9. Already watched a few minutes of puppy bowl.

@bookworm — I just skyped with D and she reminded me that Hail Cesar is only for die hard fans of the Cohen brothers and golden age film history. And the Hollywood audience we saw it with stood up and cheered. I guess my point of view is extraordinarily skewed. (I only walked out on one movie this year----I could only take 30 minutes of the new Star Wars and even that was torture) #:-S

To all those wondering about the quality of this halftime show: it has Coldplay, Bruno Mars and the Queen B. I don’t see them going wrong with that line up!

The most exciting thing about this Super Bowl is that it is in SNta Clara about ten minutes away from my kid’s alma mater! If she was still in college, she would have figured out a way to me at that game!

I love Coldplay and think Bruno Mars is a great performer and entertaining ( don’t care for his music , but that’s just my preference ) Don’t care for Beyonce at all . I suppose all the highlights I want to see will be online or on Today Show in the morning.

I am more or less going to watch the game for the commercials and entertainment. I will most likely play games on my two device during the actual game play. If it sounds exciting I will look up for the replay, or DH will tell me what I missed. I have trouble accepting the Panthers as a real team since they weren’t around when I was growing up. And I’ll try to watch the kittens during half time of the puppy bowl.

I’m in Scottsdale, AZ, for a month and will go to our apartment complex party, hoping to meet some of my new neighbors. Then I’ll probably come back to the apartment and read.

1st coat of paint done, and I don’t think the Super Bowl is even on yet. I’ll do the grocery shopping for the week once the crowds have cleared out to go watch the game.

DH is showing DS17 how to rewire outlets to be grounded. I think that’s “manly” enough for a Super Bowl Sunday.

Anyone see Foxtrot this morning? http://www.foxtrot.com/2016/02/07/weird-l/
It bugs me also a bit that “Super Bowl L” isn’t being used. Or maybe in Roman numerals that would be Svper Bol L.

@Ynotgo
I love your literal realization of the metaphor about something being “as exciting as watching paint dry…”

well I will be in the den with DH along with today’s NYTIMES as I was out all day at the Whitney Museum seeing the Frank Stella show on the last day. Not sure what time half time will be but at 9 PM it’s upstairs for Downton Abbey in the bedroom for me, unless DH (secretly a Downton fan) will give up the game by then. I am in a low-stakes office pool so that is always something to keep a bit of interest.

Well…gotta say…I loved Lady Gaga’s rendition of the national anthem. She is an amazing performer.
