Who else won't be watching the Super Bowl? And what are you doing instead?

Driving home, saw that a local business posted this sign: “Temporary Broncos’ fan!” Lol.

Any good commercials? It’s on in the living room, and I saw a cute/funny one for ketchup when I walked by.

2nd coat of paint done. Just cleanup left. Oh, and getting new baseboards and painting all the trim. And, I think we need better lighting now that the walls aren’t a hideous color. And the closets… 80/20 rule…

This is the sloppiest game I’ve ever seen, Super Bowl or not. Those not watching are not missing much.

Agreed- the commercials and the music are the only entertainment tonight.

The only thing Americans are more critical of then their favorite or the opposing football team is the Super Bowl half time show…come on people, it’s like 15 minutes of high energy, familiar music/musicians and props - it’s not but a taste of what you might get in a concert! If singers lip sync we’re critical of that, if they sing live and are out of breath we are critical of that…too young of performers, too old, too revealing, too boring…one size does not fit all - and can’t!

Anyway, we basically taped the first hour of the games so we could forward through to the commercials, see the scoring as it happened and then enjoy the halftime show. We are all major Coldplay fans - will be seeing them for the second/third time this summer!

Most everyone here is saying the musical entertainment trumps the game, a basket!

Hey… within a TD now.

Anyone check the air levels in the balls today?

Just a reminder – no Downton spoilers here for those of us not on the East Coast!

LAX tournament, then to 16th birthday dinner for D18 and home for Downton Abbey…What Superbowl?

I’ve been sewing, too, while watching the game. So far the sheep singing Queen was the best commercial, but the commercials are pretty sleepy this year. A dog who lives in one of the houses at UChicago was in the Puppy Bowl. My anti-sports son actually watched. Cooper scored two TDs – go Team Fluff!

I spoke too soon (post #5). No avoiding the game. There are megatron TV screens inside the New Orleans Convention Center. Watching the game as we await the arrival of the parade.

What parade? (lol)

Well, that was dull. I should have napped through the 2nd half, too.

Happy for Peyton Manning. Great way to end a terrific career!

Krewe of Bacchus

I watched the second half.

CBS did not show the final snap!

But he is too old for the game.

Well the Baccus Ball definitely trumps the football this year.

@GMTplus7 - you’re going to be waiting a while. Bacchus stalled at least ten times while we watched.

For those of you wondering about the performers, they aren’t paid. And last year the NFL tried to get the performers to pay them for the privilege of being in the half time show! Dies Bruce need that? I think not.
