I did have a huge jump in my Jr year

My unweighted was probably close to 3.6 although my rank was high.

My GPA is a 93; however, I'm first in my class...as of right now.

3.76 unweighted... which is fairly low for my school.

I took the most challenging curriculum available though. Freshman year killed my GPA (a 3.3 or something)

Me too. I calculated my GPA once on the 3.7=A- scale, and I was between a 3.58 and a 3.6 something. I don't remember where I finally landed. I too have a pretty marked upward trend, something like a jump from 3.5ish first semester Freshman year to 3.74 second semester junior year. Not a huge jump, but significant. I also have the hardest courseload anyone's taken since my school opened ten years ago.

Anyone know when we get the decision in paper, and do we get any sort of coool package?

I heard that they only send a couple of folders for documents(acceptance, financial aid) and some decals. no t-shirts...lol

it would be nice if they send us t-shirts this year.

Wow you guys give me hope. I had a 3.3 my freshmen and soph years, and now in junior year I have a 4.0, hopefully it will stay that way :).

this is ridiculous my school is A-=3.3 (92-93) while an A (94-96) is 3.85 and A+ is 4.0

Just curious, is it possible to get into Columbia with a 3.5? What would you need on your resume to get in?

I probably had a 3.5 now that I think about it. Your GPA matters, but your RANK matters as well. A 5%+ rank with a ridiculous curriculum can override a low unweighted GPA.

I was accepted with what I think is an overall unweighted A- GPA.

B+ gpa.. But all college level courses !! I got in!
