Search this site for NYU. The most important stat is a large bank account-if you can not fully afford this school please don’t put it at the top of your list.

That said, a top 15% rank and an SAT over 2050 put you strongly in the running, less if you’re from an underrepresented state.

depends on which school within NYU you’re applying for since each school looks for different things.

well i want to attend stern for finance but i thought u had to get accepted to the university first then after 1 year, you apply to the college

You apply to stern directly…stern is not like uc berkeley and haas or umich and ross where you apply after you are already in the school.

I applied to Tisch so they might be more lenient about grades, but this is what mine were when I was accepted:

-3.789 GPA
-28 ACT
-GSA president, officer on band board; in GSA for four years, in band for four years, pep band for three, pit orchestra for two; NHS for 3 years
-At the time I applied I only had taken one AP–AP Chem–but got a 2 on the test.

I really had no intention of going to NYU when I applied because I was almost positive I wouldn’t be able to afford it even if I somehow got in, and once my admission packet came I was right, even with a pretty nice scholarship from Tisch. I just wanted to see if I could get in since Tisch and its Dramatic Writing program is such a talked about program. And NYU in general is one of those huge dream schools that people might just want to test their chances.

wow your admission stats just totally made my day! =)
new york is one of my dream schools, so I’m def going to apply but the only
thing is that my SATs aren’t as high as they should be.
everything else is pretty solid and i’m going to take the SATs again and the ACT on October

thanks!
